ABOUT

Mika Natri (born 1969 Säynätsalo, Finland) is Turku based artist who works with sculpture, painting, installation and public commissions. Natri graduated in 2003 from Visual Arts Department in Turku University of Applied Sciences. So far he has made nine public commissions; two in Helsinki, four in Turku, one in Jyväskylä, one in Kaarina and one in Raisio. He has held more than 20 private exhibitions in Finland and abroad and he has also participated in over 40 group exhibitions, both in Finland and abroad. His works are inter alia in collections of Finnish National Gallery, Helsinki Art Museum, Turku Art Museum, Wäinö Aaltonen Art Museum, Aboa Vetus&Ars Nova Museum/Matti Koivurinta Foundation, Lönnström Art Museum, Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa Art Collections, Jyväskylä University and Finnish Art Society. Natri is a member of Union of Finnish Sculptors, Painters Union, Turku Artists’ Association and Jyväskylä Artists’ Association.
