ABOUT

Mika Natri (born 1969 in Säynätsalo, Finland) is a Turku-based artist who works with sculpture, painting, installation and public commissions. Natri graduated in 2003 from the Visual Arts Department at Turku University of Applied Sciences. So far he has made nine public sculpture commissions: two in Helsinki, four in Turku, one in Jyväskylä, one in Kaarina and one in Raisio. To date, Natri has held 26 private exhibitions in Finland and abroad and has also participated in over 50 group exhibitions in Finland and abroad.

 

Natri has works for example in collections of the Finnish National Gallery, Helsinki Art Museum, Turku Art Museum, Wäinö Aaltonen Art Museum, Aboa Vetus&Ars Nova Museum/Matti Koivurinta Foundation, City of Turku, City of Raisio, City of Rauma, Lönnström Art Museum, Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa Art Collections, Jyväskylä University and Finnish Art Society.

 

Natri is a member of the Union of Finnish Sculptors, Painters Union, Turku Artists’ Association and Jyväskylä Artists’ Association.
